2001-08-26: NetBSD/pmax switched to MI SCSI
Simon Burge has switched NetBSD/pmax -current from the old pmax MD SCSI support to MI SCSI.

2001-08-24: Support for noncontinguous memory
Michael L. Hitch has committed changes to NetBSD/pmax so that it uses the PROM bitmap, if available, to determine available memory. Also added was support of multiple memory segments so machines that allow mixed memory sizes can utilitize all available memory.

2001-08-22: NetBSD/pmax now has GENERIC_SOFT_INTERRUPTS
Thanks to Tohru Nishimura, NetBSD/pmax -current now provides the generic software interrupt mechanism.

2001-02-14: Simon Burge is now the NetBSD/pmax co-port-maintainer
Please welcome Simon Burge to the NetBSD/pmax co-port-maintainer position. Simon has been a long-term contributor to the pmax port (and NetBSD in general), and has effectively performed many of the pmax port-maintainer tasks, including building the past few NetBSD/pmax releases. Simon joins Jonathon Stone as co-port-maintainer of the pmax port.

2000-09-13: Booting off RAIDframe RAID1 mirrors
Simon Burge has added support for booting off RAIDframe RAID1 mirrors to NetBSD/pmax -current. This support has been pulled into the netbsd-1-5 branch, so it will be available in NetBSD 1.5.

Support for am7930 audio on the 5000/xx has been added.

NetBSD 1.4.2 released with support for 16 architectures.

December 1999
1999-12-04: DECsystem 5100 support added
Support for console handling for the DECsystem 5100 has been added. This was the last component needed for full 5100 support. A snapshot will be coming soon.

1999-11-18: NetBSD/pmax binary works on NetBSD/hpcmips
NetBSD/hpcmips supports kernel softfloat emulation. NetBSD/hpcmips kernel+pmax userland on NetBSD/hpcmips works fine.

1999-09-07: tz(4) update
The tz tape driver now works with variable-blocksize drives.

1999-06-03: 1.4 px kernel/install tools
Install kernel, diskimage and GENERIC kernels with PX and CD9660 support available at ftp://ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/pmax/

1999-05-12: NetBSD-1.4 released
The NetBSD 1.4 release supports sixteen architectures, and was distributed free by Usenix to all 1999 ATC attendees.

NetBSD/pmax now has it's own X11R6 server, which replaces the old R5 one.

NetBSD/pmax now has two stage boot blocks that understand how to load a.out, ECOFF and ELF kernels.

NetBSD/pmax (and all other mips based ports) switched to EGCS.
